Account Verification message
I received an eBay message that an item sold, but i need to “perform a small verification†of my account in order for the funds to be released. Then it provides a form to fill in my credit card information, (which is already set up in my account settings). I’ve sold many things already & never had to do this, so I’m skeptical if this is legit.

If eBay sends you an eBay message, it will be addressed to you by full name, and will not come from a random username with a number in it; it will come from eBay and will appear in your eBay messages under "From eBay". eBay will never ask you to copy and paste something into your browser address bar -- that is something scammers often do, though.
