account suspended after agent told me what to do
I contacted ebay and talked with an agent about adult playing cards being restricted. I was told by an agent that I had the collectible vintage adult deck of playing cards in the wrong category, they should be listed under collectibles, photographic images, photographs and NOT listed under playing cards. I did as the agent told me saying that yes I can list the deck of adult cards under the category she told me to. I relisted the vintage adult playing cards and now my account is suspended for 7 days. I appealed to ask about having my account active again since I did as the Ebay agent instructed me to do and they said NO, still suspended. Has this happened to anyone else? Ebay instructs you that it is OK to list the item then they change their mind and suspend you?
I'm not sure if a real person even read my appeal. I included the reference # to my conversation with the agent who instructed me on what to do and that did not seem to matter. Just an automated response back.
Just venting & seeing if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks

Mentor5 months ago@newby-ranchers Sorry that happened, unfortunately eBay agents do often give bad advice.

Once an item is removed NEVER relist it on eBay as the bots are not reset and the item is just removed again and you get suspended. You need to sell these elsewhere.

OP5 months agoThanks for getting back. I think it was AI who answered my appeal. Didn't even read the question I was inquiring about. The agents should be trained to give you the correct advice. Also if the agent gave the incorrect advice, I should not be included in that.

Mentor5 months ago@newby-ranchers. You can try contacting customer service on social media about the suspension but do NOT relist no matter what they say.
Contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.
