Account status on an item I hand delivered
So I agreed to hand deliver an item but ebay shows it still open. I have sent several msg to Ebay to assist me but no response. Any thoughts on how I can clear this item from my account or a better way to get Ebay to respond with assistance?

Mentor8 months agoIf the item was sold with shipping required there is nothing you can do now to prove delivery. eBay will hold your funds for 30 days before making a payout. When an item is sold with Local Pick-up then they receive a QR code and a numeric code to provide you with to enter into the app to prove delivery. Since the delivery type cannot be changed once payment is made you will need to wait the 30 days.

You can not change the delivery method after the sale. Since you used a different delivery method than the one the buyer selected when they purchased all you can do is mark it as shipped on the order. The option is in the drop down menu for the item on your orders page.

If this should happen again the way to handle it is to cancel the sale using problem with buyer's address and relist the item with the correct shipping method for them to repurchase. With local pick up the buyer receives a QR code and a digit code that the seller enters into the eBay APP as proof of delivery.

Since you do not have proof of delivery your funds will be released, if the buyer does not make a return or refund claim, after the full hold time.

OP8 months agoBuyer selected hand delivered and I actually did the QR code and the system says it's paid.

Did you scan the QR code into the APP when the buyer picked up? That would change the status to picked up on the order.
If for some reason it did not change the status you can send the buyer a message and ask for the 6 digit code. You can enter that into the order.

If the buyer paid and item is showing delivered the transaction is complete. Is the issue that your payout is on hold? Can you provide some more details as to what you are needing help with so I can get you the information you need?

OP8 months agoI recv'd my payout, but the order on my account continues to show like it's open and needs shipped. Sorry, I was really hoping Ebay would review so they can look at my account and find a solution. I guess really no harm but I wanted it cleaned up so it would go to a status like all my other completed transactions.

OP8 months agoSo local pickup shows as the method and QR code was scanned at delivery and uploaded, so still not sure why it hasn't closed out. So still not sure why it's not clearing. I do wish if Ebay is reviewing these, they would just respond. I have sent several inquiries on specific details with this transaction.
