Account restricted for "high risk selling" - no reason given, 2 days now
Summary: syzogems shared their experience of having their eBay account restricted for "high risk selling" without a specific reason given, impacting their ability to create or edit listings and holding their payments. Despite maintaining a clean seller record, they face fees and have received no response from support after two days. They are seeking advice from others who might have faced similar issues to learn about resolution times and effective solutions. Additionally, syzogems mentioned that most of their listings were deactivated by eBay, leaving only a few active, and they are unsure if this is common for such restrictions.
Hi everyone,
2 days ago eBay restricted my account for "high risk selling." No specific reason was given.
What's affected:
- Can't create or edit listings
- Payments are on hold
- Told I'm still responsible for any fees
My account looks clean:
- Above Standard seller level
- 0% defect rate
- 0% late shipments
- 100% positive feedback
- No open disputes
I emailed support with my case details but haven't heard back in 2 days.
Has this happened to anyone else? How long did it take to get resolved, and what actually worked for you?
Thanks!

Mentor1 week agoHi @syzogems
I see you are located in Sri Lanka. I see that on the remaining listings they all have stock photos so I am guessing you are drop shipping.
I noticed a few listings that I find personally offensive. This one shows an American flag in the main picture for something that is made in China. UGREEN 5-in-1 USB C Hub 4K HDMI 100W PD Multiport Adapter With 5gps Port | eBay
To me that is false advertising.
You will have to find a way to contact eBay and find out what you did wrong to cause the restriction.

OP1 week agoI had about 180 listings live before the restriction. Once it hit, eBay deactivated 169 of them, leaving only a few active. Not sure if that's normal for this type of restriction or a sign of something specific.
