Account restricted due to medical policy violation
Summary: The discussion involves a situation where an account has been restricted due to a violation of a medical policy. topnotchtreasures1 appears to have initiated the discussion, but no further details or context are provided in the posts. jacbarcollectibles responded, but similarly, their post contains no additional information or discussion on the matter.
I was sent the following message from ebay about 4 days ago regarding one of my listings:
"The manufacturer has reported that this product is intended "for Professional Use Only" and necessitates a prescription or license for purchase. Most medical devices are regulated and require a valid professional license for acquisition.
Because you haven't followed this policy in the past, a temporary 7-day selling restriction has been placed on your account (starting 48 hours after the date of this notice), and your other listings will be hidden from search during this period. Your other listings will automatically be restored and show up in search results after the end of the temporary restriction."
I reached out to an ebay agent to clarify since I had added the needed disclaimer to this and all my other medical listings. The agent said it appeared that my listing was in compliance. He suggested that I appeal the decision restricting my account. The agent said there was not anything more I could do to escalate the matter. I appealed the decision and am now waiting for a response.
I am wondering if there is anything more to be done? Or do I just wait. In the past when I appealed it took 4 or 5 days to get a response. Thanks for any advice!

Mentor4 months agoThe point of the message from eBay is that the item cannot be listed on the site because it requires a prescription or license to purchase which you cannot regulate. No statement you place on the listing will overrule the medical devise violation. Just wait out the suspension and do not relist the item.
