Accidentally sold plant to customer in Guam that I may not be able to legally ship.
Summary: chimeranara expressed concern about mistakenly selling a plant to a customer in Guam, which might involve legal shipping issues. disneyshopper is aware of the situation, but no further details or solutions are discussed in the thread.
I was not aware I was enrolled in international shipping. I’m pretty sure I opted out last year and somehow it was reactivated without my knowledge. Now I have a buyer from Guam that won a bid on something I’m pretty sure I cant even legally ship to Guam as it is a potted plant in soil. Please advise. Will I be penalized for canceling this order? I looked it up and one of the requirements is that they must apply for an import permit a month in advance, which I doubt they did as this was a 5 day auction.

Mentor4 months agoI would use the CONTACT BUYER link in the sold listing. Ask the buyer if s/he has applied for an import permit for this item, and if not, you could cancel the transaction as Buyer requests. This way, neither of you gets a defect for the cancellation.
