Accidentally paid for a customers shipping
I lost $4.58 in a sale today, is there any way to get eBay to credit me for it. I am new to selling.

Mentor4 months agoBuyer pays item price + shipping + sales tax. ebay sends you the item price + shipping less the final value fee. You can purchase the shipping from wherever you like since you have the item and the shipping money paid by the buyer. If you use ebay shipping, you get a discount and the tracking is uploaded automatically to the transaction. You can pay for the shipping from your pending payout or from your Paypal account. Just scroll down a bit to select the option you want when you go to get your shipping label, before confirming and paying.
If you made an error with the weight and dimensions, and the shipping ended up being more, you cannot ask your buyer to pay any more than what the listing shows. You need to use a scale to weigh the packaged item, and measure the package (round up to nearest inch) so that ebay can calculate the shipping from your zip code to the buyer's zip code.
