Access to my photos
Does EBay really have the authority to have access to all of my photos for a return?? I have no problem sending photos to the seller, but EBay won’t let me do that. Nope, they insist on all access to my photos. I am furious. So now I have to take the time the go through every photo so EBay doesn’t have access to a specific credit card I share with my kids.
Is there anything I can do to stop this?
Thanks

·2 years agoWhen you place a photo on a website, the website needs to interact with the computer that is offering the photos. Devices like an iPhone will not allow an application to interact with the phone unless you give permission. So eBay's application has to ask permission, which you can decline. eBay isn't going to browse your photos. Instead, you will select the photos that you want to upload and eBay will retrieve only those photos that you have selected. After you have uploaded the photo to eBay, you can go into your phone's privacy settings and revoke the permission.
An alternative is to email the photo to your desktop computer, and upload from there.
If you are unable to come to terms with the phone's privacy settings, you can contact customer support and ask them to open a return without a photo.
