How do I get to communicate with a person at eBay to ask. Can be email or text. Whatever. I can’t get past the inadequate AI to get an answer. The buyer has completed many purchases, gotten stellar reviews, etc There must some reason. Marie
PayPal does sometimes restrict what items they will allow PayPal credit to be used for. For example, I have purchased items from a seller in England over the years. PayPal won’t accept PayPal credit for anything I purchase from her. Certain items, shipping locations, etc, can trigger this. The problem is between the buyer and PayPal. There’s nothing you can do.
Thanks for your reply. eBay says they take it but do you know if that means they decide who they take it from? She’s insisting she’s done it with other sellers

Mentor2 years agoHi @elijah-slocum
PayPal Credit is a payment option under PayPal. It is PayPal that decides which items can be paid for using PayPal Credit.
Neither sellers nor eBay are involved in that decision.

OP2 years agothank you I did peruse PayPal and did not find anything that helped me so I'm going to throw it back on the buyer's lap.

The buyer is the one that needs to figure it out. Sellers have no say in how the buyer pays.

·2 years agoThe seller has no say in how a buyer pays.
It all goes to ebay managed payment system.
There is no need to call ebay.
If the buyer ask for your PayPal email then it is a scam.

OP2 years agohow can it be a scam when the question comes through eBay and the person has a history with eBay and reviews?

·2 years agoThey can take the deal off eBay and send you a fake PayPal payment email.
The account could be hijacked.
Not saying this what is happening, but the give away is if they ask for your PayPal address.

OP2 years agothanks nothing like that. i'll let you know if it occurs!

Sellers have no say in how a buyer pays for an item.
The buyer goes through the Ebay checkout page and pays with a payment source approved by Ebay.
