accepted offer but buyer isn't paying
There used to be an option to send an invoice but I don't see that option any more. Did it move? I guess I just wait. Meantime the posting is still active which is weird too. The buyer made me an offer I just said okay. Now it's all packaged and ready to mail but nothing happening. Not tragic but ebay used to be more active in protecting sellers against flaky offers.

eBay has made some changes to offers. When a seller accepts an offer the buyer is notified and instructed to pay. The item is not sold until the buyer actually pays. This is why it is not in your sold items and you can not send an invoice, eBay has already done that. This is more like the way buy it now with immediate payment works. Since the item is not sold until payment and still active another buyer can purchase at full price. This information is also in the payment message the buyer receives.
This is meant to cut down on sellers having items removed from sale while waiting on a buyer to pay and then having to relist if they don't. Item continues to be listed until paid for.

OP1 year agoThank you. Does that mean I am not liable if the buyer then does pay but another buyer has already paid for that item? Does ebay forgive the fact that I now have not provided the first buyer with the item promised?

Mentor1 year agoThat is correct. You are not liable if the first buyer does not pay within 4 days and someone else comes along and purchases and pays.
