Accepted offer
I made an offer on an item and it was accurate. When I went to pay, eBay said the item was sold. Evidently someone bought it with "buy now". Who takes precedence? I would think an accepted offer should close the "buy now" option. Help.

I’ve read in the last couple of days that eBay has begun leaving accepted offers available for Buy It Now purchase until the buyer pays. [I don’t believe that eBay has mentioned doing this. Members have figured it out themselves.]
This ‘change’ will likely make some buyers/sellers rethink how they feel about providing prepayment information, which would close further buying options.
[I gave up trying to ‘understand’ why eBay does what it does long ago. 🫤 ]

·2 years agoIf someone uses the BIN between the time your offer is accepted and when you go to pay for it you will lose out .
The offer isn't complete until it is paid for . This doesn't happen often but it does happen
