Abusive Live Seller
Summary: telekon1980 described an incident where they were unexpectedly blocked by a live auctioneer on eBay. They had entered a live session after being interrupted by text messages and attempted to communicate with the host. Despite trying to clarify their intentions and even offering to make a purchase as a gesture of goodwill, they found themselves blocked by the auctioneer, leaving them confused and anxious about the negative reaction they received.
A live auctioneer here on eBay blocked my account. Re: I was searching for something specific, and saw it on display as I previewed the lives before entering. When I entered the live, I checked off on the disclaimer. When I was about to unmute, I got three text messages, one of which resulted in a lengthy conversation, another that was a request for my advice, and yet another I didn't have to reply to. With all necessary text replies and conversations completed - roughly ten minutes had lapsed - I was finally freed up to unmute and participate in the live. As an introduction, I mentioned to the host that I was on mute, but entered earlier because I saw something I was shopping for. The host requested clarification, which I did my best to efficiently provide, albeit with a long sentence by chat standards. He then requested clarification again, which I tried to provide again. I don't remember the beginning of his reaction, but it ended with "get out!" I was stunned, but returned long enough to get the host's username so that I could at least send him a message to explain myself and apologize for giving the wrong impression. Thereafter, I attempted to purchase something from his store as a "good faith" offering, only to discover that he blocked me. To this moment, I am still as stunned and anxious that I would elicit such a reaction, considering that in no way was I there to perpetuate.

I'm sorry that happened.
Some sellers do not like questions and conversations and will block potential buyers quickly.
Many other sellers are happy to help buyers with questions.
It sounds like this seller doesn't value customer service, and as such, may be difficult to deal with.
eBay allows sellers to block potential buyers.
eBay doesn't hold it against a buyer that a seller has blocked them.
No other seller is aware that you've been blocked.
