About the TAX collections by EBAY.
Any Ebay Member are OK what Ebay doing, collecting TAXes on behalf off us (Ebay Sellers)???
As They Stated ( Ebay) that is :
This policy helps ensure that government regulations are followed.
(What a Agency They assume They Are (Ebay))
So : It's Not Ebay Business, or Concerns about That.
Ebay is Online Sell/ Buy Platform. And They are collecting a Fees for That.
I feel like My Constitutional Rights Are violated rights.
That about Others Ebay Members Opinion?

Mentor3 years agoeBay is collecting sales tax on behalf of the states and remitting it back to them. They are forced to do this by law.
It sure beats me having to know the ever-changing sales tax laws of 50% different states and trying to do that myself.
How are your constitutional rights violated?

OP3 years agoNo such a Law exist in any state to collect TAX's . If Your corporation/ business Not selling any goods.
That's **bleep**, Ebay obligated to collect TAX's.
That's the Lie.
They are Online Platform,That's IT.
Not some kinda middle big brother between Government and Sellers.

·3 years agoYou are misinformed this whole thing went all the way to the Supreme Court and now by law eBay has to collect sales tax for all the states that passed an online sales tax law which is all of them.

·3 years agoEBay is under a court order to collect sales tax. Buyers are the ones who pay the taxes.
