A wolf (Amazon) in sheep's (Ebay) clothing

Question

I just received an order that I placed with Ebay - but it arrived in Amazon packaging.

The shipment wasn't trackable on Ebay. In fact, I never received notification that the item was shipped. And on Ebay, the item does not show as having been delivered.

I choose Ebay because I do not want to do business with Amazon. (I have been boycotting Amazon since 2016.) Why is Ebay allowing this to happen? (I can find no way to report this to Ebay.)

@glorybells - Actually, that explains the slip of paper in the box that says 'A gift for you, Enjoy your gift." How do I report them?

There are two possible scenarios. One is ok with eBay and Amazon, the other is a policy violation on both sites.

Some sellers who sell on both eBay and Amazon store their inventory with Amazon, and pay them to ship the items for them. (Permitted)

Other sellers list on eBay, when they receive an order they buy it on Amazon, and have the item shipped by their Amazon Prime account. If this happens theyâ€™ll be a â€œgift receiptâ€ in your package. This is prohibited by both sites.
