A seller is asking for more shipping money
I purchased an international item to be shipped to the US. The buyer is saying shipping costs have gone up and is asking for another $20 to ship. They sent a picture with what appears to be the item on a scale at a shipper with my name and shipping address with the increased cost. Is this common? If this is legit, how do we transact this through eBay so I don't get scammed?

Mentor6 months ago@rodolisin. Sellers are NOT allowed to charge more shipping than stated on the listing. There's not a way within eBay for a buyer to pay more shipping.
If you wish to pay more then the seller has to cancel the listing and relist with the correct postage.
Keep in mind that tariffs do still apply. Also if UPS, FedEx, or DHL is used that they charge a brokerage fee in addition to tariffs.
