I’m wondering if Iv fell into a trap of a scam? Purchased an item from Argentina to be delivered to me in the UK A few days passed and no tracking number, and I tried 3 or 4 times to contact the seller but never got replies and then today I received an email that seemed very standard and copy and pasted to me saying that the courier has told them they lost the parcel (I don’t believe they ever sent anything) And they have asked me to cancel the order for a refund…. However… 1 this doesn’t seem right to me? And 2 I paid not only VAT but also my bank charged me a fee for currency conversion… I’m guessing if I just cancel the order then I’ll loose this for absolutely nothing? can any one shed any light? Iv tried to message eBay but as it’s not due yet it won’t let me Thanks
If the seller is not able to provide tracking that shows delivery, you should be able to win an "item not received" claim provided you act within thirty days of the last estimated delivery date shown at the time of your order.
