Yes I have heard of eBay asking buyers to file a police report before issuing a refund. Usually only for items where tracking doesn't show delivery to the buyers address but shows delivery somewhere. .

I understand that this may be a frustrating situation but if you follow through in a timely manner then eBay will refund you.

@the38special I have not heard of that happening. You are the buyer and being told to contact the local police? Did you not pay for item that you received?

Or " eBay" refunded you? That money comes from the seller.

Who did the notice come from? Are you sure it's not phishing?
