In your Shipping Preferences enable the Combined Payments option and set the number of days to pay longer than 5 days.
Buyer can now buy or win auctions during that period before paying. If you are going to combine and discount shipping cost either set that up in your Shipping Preferences or when buyer is done purchasing, click on Send Invoice on one of the items, all will show up to select to combine.
