A buyer claims they bought a pickup order, but the order isn't showing up in my orders tab, why?
Summary: izzy_bellexx is concerned about a potential scam involving a pickup order that a buyer claims to have purchased with a gift card. The buyer sent a confirmation screenshot and a pickup code; however, the order does not appear in izzy_bellexx's system. Despite reaching out to eBay’s virtual assistance, they received no helpful guidance and are seeking advice on whether this could be a delay due to the gift card or a possible scam.
Someone claims they bought a pickup order from me using a giftcard, and sent a screenshot of the confirmation from their end, but its not showing up in my orders. We tried waiting a couple hours but the item isn't something that we can wait multiple days on. I haven't gotten anything in regards to the order actually being placed, and I'm worried they are scamming, but they even gave a pickup code. I don't have anywhere to enter it though so could it possibly be made up? Ebay virtual assistance was no help so does anyone here have any idea? Could it be delayed because a giftcard was used? Is this a possible scam?

Mentor1 month agoNo one would give you the pickup code if they were not there to pick it up. So something is wrong here. If nothing in your sales history or any notice from ebay the item was paid for, then I would consider this a scam attempt. Do not communicate further other than to tell the buyer to contact ebay.
