75% tariff
I was just charged 75% customs/tariff fee by UPS for a $58 item from Italy.
Is this unusual?

Before 2025 ?? Yes. It would have been highly unusual in those years.
Since early in 2025 ?? No.
I think there was a US Supreme Court decision earlier this year, 2026, about tariffs.
I recall, a few months ago, that there were some tariff percentages that were decreased or eliminated because of that Supreme Court decision.
I can't keep up with the news about tariffs for the last 19 months or so.
I've pretty much given up trying.
It seems as though tariffs are active or non-active, or very low or very high, 75%, depending on the mood of one person.
