7 day autopay delay?
I just had an auction finish and I got a notice that the buyer set an auto pay for 7 days after the auction closed, without my consent.
What is up with that??

Mentor1 month ago@rev_todd You can go back to not requiring a payment method before bidding and cancel as unpaid on the 5th day after the sale if the buyer has not paid.
You can also change the auto unpaid cancelation time frame OR turn it off in account settings. I personally prefer it OFF then manually cancel as not paid if needed.

If you want to require buyers to provide a payment method before bidding BUT do want to allow the buyer to keep shopping for 7 days then you need to NOT allow invoices on this page>

Then the payment method that was provided will be charged one hour after sale.
Autopay is when you as a seller require buyers to provide a payment method before making a bid or offer.
The setting is in buyer requirements in account settings>

If you require buyers to provide a payment method prior to bidding AND allow combined shipping in your account settings then the buyer may choose to keep bidding for 7 days before paying. This is a change that many auction sellers asked for. You can read about the 7 days to pay for combined shipping on auctions here>

Mentor1 month agoThe seven day window is triggered by the seller using a required payment method for an auction along with a combined shipping option to allow buyers to combine auction wins and check out once.
Remove either one of those and the seven day window goes away, I believe.
