$600 tax limit
Ebay is requiring me to give them my SS# even though I haven't reached the $ 600 tax limit....I am at $594.00...
Is anybody else experiencing this problem

eBay would be risking its own status with the IRS if it waited until after you sold $600 to obtain your SSN. What 'problem' are you talking about?

·2 years agoThere is no "problem". You are required to supply your SSN to sell on eBay. eBay needs to get it before you reach the $600 limit for reporting to the IRS so that they have it if you reach the limit, and can stop you from selling so you don't reach it without giving them the information.
