40% isnt enough ebay wants more?
why does ebay ant so much of our money??? it recomends 26% add rates? I have no sales again
why is there so much effort at hiding sellers items??

Mentor1 year agoI may be mistaken, but I believe the "26%" you see recommended is the rate you would need to promote at in order to outbid the other current sellers using promotions to appear on the first page of the search results.
You can choose a lower percentage (or even choose no promotion at all), but then you are not "guaranteed" placement on the first page (to the extent that there is such a "guarantee" -- after all, someone else could choose a higher rate and outbid you to take your spot and lower your search placement, perhaps bumping you off the first page entirely).
