3 "make offer" requests I didn't make,,,?
In the last week 3 items I previously browsed showed up as an "offer to seller" in my summary page. I did not make offers for these items. What is up with that?

OP2 years agoThere is only one of these 'offers' still in my summary, and that one's now expired, so there's nothing relating to your answer (that the seller made the offer on his own behalf) in this expired offer. Your speculation sounds reasonable, though I'll have to wait until the next 'offer' to pop up to confirm this.
But that raises a question about sellers monitoring browsing shoppers and 'breeching the curtain' separating the shopper from the page's host. I find it mildly intrusive that this protocol allows sellers to 'follow a visitor down the street as he wanders away from this table of wares', desperately hawking a lower price to make a sale. I prefer the, "if I don't make a bid on my own, I'm not interested," default. But thank you for the clarity and if any more of these offers land in my mailbox I'll verify your explanation.
Thank you for taking your time to respond.

·2 years agoAre you sure it doesn't' say "offer FROM a seller"? Sellers can now send out offers to users (the seller is not told who viewed the listing or who added it to their Watch List) who have visited the listing.
If that's not it, who else has access to your account.
