250 listing limit - do auto re-listings count?
Summary: The discussion initiated by aventurine_76 concerns the 250 listing limit on a platform and whether automatic re-listings contribute towards this limit. disneyshopper and comics-scifi-collectibles engage in the conversation, although their responses include limited information, marked as "None." The topic revolves around clarifying how the listing limits are calculated, but detailed responses are not present. The thread seems to end without reaching a clear resolution or providing detailed insights into the issue.
I'm trying to figure out if setting up an ebay store makes sense, or if the 250 listing monthly limit still works for my situation. I don't plan on having more than 250 listings at one time, at least for now, but I was surprised a few months back when I went over the 250 limit due to manually relisting weekly auctions. I just realized there is an option for auto re-listings and set that up. It had a message that there were no insertion fees and that it would relist up to 8 times. What I'm not totally clear about is whether the auto re-listings will count towards my 250 max; I keep finding conflicting information on this. Thank you for any input.

Mentor4 months agoNew and infrequent sellers who are using the Quick Listing Tool will find that auctions can automatically relist for up to 8 times, and not be charged an insertion fee, so will not count towards the 250 listings. I do not know when ebay decides you are no longer "new" and removes that option.
You currently do not have any active listings. I would suggest keeping track of your number of listings and if you believe you will be consistently listing more than 250 listings per month, subscribing to a Basic store would be a good idea.

OP4 months agoThank you, that's what I was thinking but it was definitely not clear! I actually have 49 active listings right now; not sure why clicking on my name is not showing any of them. I assumed maybe it's because I don't have a storefront? Anyway, my listings have hovered in the 50ish range for a while now, but one month I guess I went over 60 because I was charged listing fees due to the manual re-listing. I plan to add more listings soon so I guess I will keep an eye on how the 8 auto-relisting feature works out and if not, consider a store. Thanks again!

Mentor4 months ago@aventurine_76 I just wanted to add that I do see your listings. I see 46 active right now.
There's a disconnect between the community platform and a members profile sometimes. I had to access your listings by using this tool> https://isdntek.com/ebaytools/Forum_displayUserPages.htm

OP4 months agoThanks for letting me know! That's strange though because there were 49 listings earlier today, then 3 ended, and I thought I'd updated them to auto re-list. However, I just had to manually re-list them. Maybe it was because I just did it earlier today and it didn't update yet? Is there by chance any way to confirm that the listings are on really on auto re-list?

We can not check to see if they are on auto relist or not. I do see 48 listings now.
