$250 "Dyson" hairdryer item purchased in 2020 now identified by Dyson as counterfeit. Recourse?

I purchased an item in 2020 listed as a "Dyson" hairdryer for approx. $250 plus shipping. After little use, it subsequently broke and when I contacted Dyson for repair, they informed me that the serial number is a counterfeit and that it, or other similar items with the same serial number, have been reported to Dyson before as fraudulent. Do I have any recourse through Ebay four years after purchase?
