2 ebay accounts with different autopay WHY?
Summary: kitos0207 expressed frustration over having different autopay settings for two eBay accounts, questioning if the issue relates to account ratings. They explained challenges dealing with sellers who blame buyers for payment problems. lady_madonna clarified that autopay settings are controlled by sellers, not buyers. kitos0207 decided to use the old account for buying and the new one for selling to circumvent these issues. jacbarcollectibles added that autopay timeframes depend on whether sellers allow combined shipping.
hello,
kindly i would like to ask a question concerning autopay. i know many asked about it so bare with me please
i had to create a 2nd ebay account - ebay made lot of fuss and refused to solve a problem with my old account-
on my new account i have autopay 1hour . on my older account i have autopay 7 days even with the same seller WHY? does it has to do with high rating vs low rating on new account?
it is very tiring and time consuming to keep on sending msgs to each seller to ask him to change the setting to 7 days payment when i want to bid on several items. 90% of the seller are naive and really bitter - dont care about helping and always accuse it is a buyers problem-
not to mention if i buy in a day few items, i must pay each item within an hour... then i get msgs from seller blaming me why i didnt send a total request and i must reply that total request most of the times doesnt work after winning auctions and few refuse to refund the excess saying it is my problem again
is there a real way i can change autopay? without having to deal with each individual seller?
i tried calling ebay agents - was terrible we didnt understand anything on each other, their only reply: pay now - create another account
ebay is becoming difficult

Mentor3 weeks agoBuyers cannot "adjust" or change autopay settings, that is a seller preference setting.

OP3 weeks agothanks for the reply
i figured out the best to do: keep old account for buying 7 days autopay and the new account for selling
ebay is becoming difficult as many other sites

Mentor3 weeks agoWhen autopay allows seven days it is because the seller allows for combined shipping. The normal auction autopay is one hour unless the seller has their listings set to allow for combined shipping.
