2 accounts and didnt know it
Summary: ja570512 discovered they have two eBay accounts after realizing a purchase was missing and the seller had no record of it. They noticed confusion from their mobile app showing two different interfaces and usernames. mudshark61369 suggested that ja570512 inadvertently created two accounts and advised deleting the one not used for purchases. Meanwhile, mr_lincoln explained that the extra account might have originated from a guest purchase, advising on the eBay Money Back Guarantee and handling guest purchases. The confusion seemed to result from accidentally using two separate accounts for transactions.
I think i just figured out that i have 2 accounts. Im not forsure but its looking like it. So i ordered a item then shortly after i wanted to double check about something. And my ebay didnt have any purchases, and i knew for a fact that i did make the order, but no record, so i thought well i will order it again, but this time it says item is out of stock. But when i look at my mobile banking account it shows the money all ready withdrawn from account. So i reach out to the seller. He says no records of any purchases from me. So i go back and forth for past 24 hours, i send him yscreen shots of banking app. It shows very clear that i made the purchase. Still the seller denies my transaction. The last message i received was 30 min ago and the last sentence he wrote was " sorry but we sold guitar to different customer, who is also in California but is not you, this account has a different user name" then i started thinking why do i have 2 ebay app icons. I just assumed my stupid phone duplicated the icons. But then i reslized one had a different format on the home page and 1 had my purchases and one said i never made any purchases, then i noticed that each had a different name one was the account i clearly remdmber making as i use the same user name often. And the other user name i never heard of . So is it possible i ordered the item on 1 account, then went back to look at order from the other account which had no records of my purchases and i was messaging the seller from the one account that had no records thats why he told me i never purchssed from him?

Most likely you made the purchase by checking out as a guest instead of using your account. You should have received an email to confirm the purchase. A guest order will not show on your account and eBay assigns a temporary user ID. That's why the seller doesn't see the order under your account name.
To look at your guest order details, log out of your account and then go to this link:

While it does sound like you inadvertently created a 2nd account that may have been the result of making a Guest purchase and then creating the new account through that process. Below is what we tell Buyers when they accidentally make a Guest purchase but if you look on the Buying as a Guest Help page there is a link to create an account.
Whether you purchased as a Guest intentionally or accidentally here is what we advise:
First, you are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
\Next, you may have inadvertently purchased as a Guest so you will have to log OUT of your eBay account to do anything with the Guest purchase. The email you received should have a link for you and this Help page will assist you as well: Buying as a guest | eBay
On a side note, Guest purchases cannot be merged with an eBay account nor can you leave Feedback on the transaction.

Sounds like that is exactly what happened.

You must have created one and forgot about it then created a new one. I'd suggest deleting the other account app from your device.
Open that app and tap the My eBay icon at the bottom menu.
That will open another menu, and select Help from it.
Type close my account into the search bar, then select Close account and delete my data.
Then scroll to the bottom of the list and click on Close account and select a reason for leaving. I do not know if there is a I have another or other accounts reasons but there should be one.
Make sure to delete the account that you did not make the purchase on or you will lose the info you have on this one.
