$1.99 monthly fee
$1.99 monthly fee if not accepting paperless statement is NOT for me. I am 82 years and paper statements are MY BEST way to keep account of my purchases. Charging me $1.99 if I don't accept email or log on review of each month statement is poor business, Using the internet and having to talk to a recorded voice is already much TOO complicated. I will cancel my credit card if this happens. Every company is seeking a way to charge it's customers MORE, AND MORE!! I understand your company is trying to "cut cost" but this , I'm guessing, will cost you many customers. Pretty soon, all credit card customers will probably face similar issues. Just like we now must to to a machine to get answers!!!

Mentor2 years agoGot the same charge on my Lowes credit card (Synchrony). No notice, just the charge. The cashier was extremely rude to me when I questioned the charge while paying my bill in store. I went home and cancelled my account faster than you could blink!

While my preference was to have paper bills, invoices, etc. I acknowledge that paper documents over the long haul can cost a company a lot of money, especially since costs for ink, paper, etc has increased not to mention postage to mail the documents or the equipment needed to print and then stuff the envelopes.
A couple of years ago I developed electronic files (spreadsheets, document scans, word docs, pdfs) to prep all of my annual tax information for my business and personal income tax returns. I love it, the accountant loves it. If you have purchased ink for printers lately to print labels I can tell you prices are not going down.

Unfortunately, this is not something under eBay’s control. I received the same notice from a card I have for a clothing store. The card is issued by the same financial institution that issues the eBay card.
Do you have a printer? If so, can you have a friend show you how to print your own statements from your online access?

Mentor2 years agoWhere did you see this $1.99 charge? ebay hasn't been sending paper statements for years. Recently ebay announced a $2.00 charge if you want to use Express Payouts to get your payouts quickly, but I do not think that is what you are referring to.
I know many banks are trying to get their customers to go paperless, and I am resisting doing that, but somehow, one of my banks (actually a federal credit union) recently stopped sending me paper statements, and I do not know how to switch back.

OP2 years ago$1.99 fee will be charged to my account each month by several Synchrony Bank credit cards The one first noticed is MY EBAY Mastercard. Today I got a similar "Harbor Freight Card."I plan to cancel ALL Synchrony Bank credit cards.
