14,000 listings, but no sales
Summary: redoak100 shared that they manage an eBay store selling postcards with 14,000 listings but are experiencing a decline in sales after receiving a notification from eBay about not meeting certain seller metrics. comics-scifi-collectibles suggested checking the seller dashboard and ensuring shipping practices align with eBay’s requirements, particularly regarding tracking numbers. redoak100 realized they missed adding tracking numbers due to combining multiple orders into one envelope. comics-scifi-collectibles advised using bulk label services to automatically apply tracking to all items in an order.
A few years ago I stared an ebay store selling postcards. I have over 14000 listed now, and my sales were pretty steady. Since this is a low cost item, ebay allows me to list quite a few without large monthly store renewal fees. I wanted to start selling general merchandise, so I started a second store. Recently ebay sent me an email that said, We see that you have a great track record as a Top Rated Seller, but recently you didn’t meet one or more of the sales, volume or tracking upload goals set for all Top Rated Sellers in the US region. Since then my sales have dried up in my Postcard Store. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Mentor2 weeks ago@redoak100 What does your dashboard say about what area you fell behind in? https://sellerstandards.ebay.com/dashboard?region=US
Since I can not see your postcard store I am going to guess that you are using eBay Standard Envelope for shipping.
eBay Standard Envelope is metered mail and the tracking can only be read by the sorting equipment.
It is important that the envelope is flexible enough to bend around a standard coffee mug with no lumps, no bubble envelopes or string closures. This could be the reason they didn't get an initial acceptance scan.
I recommend dropping the ESE envelopes in the Metered mail box at your post office. This step and making sure the envelopes meet the shipping requirements usually result in an acceptance scan. They often do not get delivery scans.
I don't think that having the second account not meet Top Rated Standards will affect your other account as eBay evaluates each account separately . I do know that if ONE account is banned then they are all banned.

OP2 weeks agoThanks for your help. After looking at the orders that were in question, I realized I had put more than one order in one envelope, to the same person, and did not carry over the tracking number to the other postcards that I combined to one envelope. .

Mentor2 weeks ago@redoak100 You need to either copy the tracking to the second item in the order BEFORE your label is scanned OR use Bulk Label so that the tracking is automatically added to the second item.
Bulk label>
When you print the shipping label it's VERY important to select all items and then select print label from the top of the list if the buyer did not pay from an invoice. Then on the next screen it will ask if you want to combine orders, say yes then adjust the package size and weight as needed. This way the tracking is applied to all items.
