1099K state identification number

Question

Hi everyoneWell, it is tax time and I need an answer to something about my 1099K that I received from eBay. Since I live in the state of NJ it is necessary to file my eBay earnings. However, the tax software will not let me continue because I do not have the state identification number listed in box 7 of the 1099K form. Does anyone what that number is? Any help is greatly appreciated.

There should be a phone # on the 1099k you can call to ask questions.

From reading the instructions, box 7 would be eBayâ€™s state ID #, but only if they withheld state income tax for you. Is there any amount in box 8? If not, box 7 should be blank.

â€If you withheld state income tax on this payment, you may enter it in box 8. In box 6, enter the abbreviated name of the state. In box 7, enter the filer's state identification number. The state number is the filer's identification number assigned by the individual state.â€
