1099 reporting
Confused. One place is telling me that the $600 threshold is going to be applied for 2026. Another place, it said that the "Big Beautiful Bill" put the threshold back to $20000.00. Which one is it?

Mentor5 months ago$20,000.00 and 200 transactions: Those are the federal threshold. Meaning if you have sold at least those minimums during 2025, eBay must report your earnings to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Your own state may have a lower threshold, perhaps as low as $600.00. If you live in a state with that minimum and your eBay sales were at least $600, eBay must report those earnings to your state's income taxation authorities. (A copy also goes to the IRS.)
