I’ve opened up a claim because this is the first time this is ever happened with the US Postal Service not delivering an item I’ve ordered on eBay, I would like some help in the situation. OP3 years agoSo the situation is hard both on the seller and buyer for myself as the buyer the seller says that it is part and he shipped the item to me. It’s marked as delivered but I’ve never received the item I’ve made a claim with US Postal Service they are investigating the situation but as a buyer I am left shorthanded I did not receive my item. not to mention the seller is not taking any responsibility for the situation and I as a buyer have no idea what my rights are about the situation and what I am truly entitled to is there nothing that E Bay can do about the situation if you buy something that you never get on eBay, are you protected as a buyer?

Mentor3 years agoGo to your Purchase History and locate the purchased item. What is the last estimated delivery date? You have up to 30 days past that date in order to file an Item Not Received case, to get your money back.
If it is past the 30 day limit, you will need to log into Paypal and file an Item Not Received case there, if that is how you paid, as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase to file, to get your money back.
If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with your credit card issuer.
If the tracking number shows the package as DELIVERED, the seller has done his/her job.
The buyer has to track down the package: check with household members, neighbors, bushes, porch.
If the package still cannot be found, buyer needs to take the tracking number down to the post office. They can check their internal systems to see who scanned and delivered the package and check with that postal carrier to see if s/he remembers the package.
Someone may have stolen the package out of the mailbox or off the porch. File a report with the police department.
