@smilans I see your profile says you live in the US.
Do you have a US bank account from a brick and mortar checking account? The name and address on your eBay account MUST match the checking account and government ID such as drivers licenses or passport EXACTLY.
You have to provide a SS# or ITIN# for the same registered name and address.
Also fund holds are normal for new sellers.
Funds are usually released a couple of weeks after tracking that you upload to eBay shows delivery to the buyer. So be sure to use tracking and if the sale totals $750 or more get a signature on delivery.
The funds are sometimes held for up to 30 days depending on account status and if the sale totals $1K or more.
You can check the status of your held funds and contact customer service from the bottom of this help page:
Select Contact US then type AGENT in the chat box on the lower right corner of the LINKED PAGE. Then you can request a call back or chat with a live agent to find out why your funds have not been released.
As I said before, fund holds are normal for new and returning sellers. Funds may be held for up to 30 days sometimes longer per the eBay policy page here>
New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer
You will need to contact eBay customer service from #5 below if you have any other account quesitons but here are some tips that might help you.
Sometimes the problem is the checking account information was not set up correctly.
eBay won't tell what doesn't match for security reasons, this might be your problem.
1. Make sure that the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for deposits to your checking account. Sometimes banks have different ones for this type of deposit.
2 .The bank account must be a brick and mortar checking account, not a virtual one.
3. Your registered name and address on your eBay account must match your checking account and government ID exactly. You can not use a PO box for your registration but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.
I had to add my middle name to my eBay account.
John B Doe is not the same as John Brian Doe.
You can confirm or update your eBay account information here:
4. Enter your backup payment method for selling costs here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list AND Select Manage under the method you want to use then select Preferred for selling costs.
5. Here's how to contact eBay customer service.
Scroll to the bottom of the linked page, click the "Contact us" option, type "agent" into the popup chat box, and choose your contact method.
( If you receive the automated chat assistant type AGENT in the small box on the lower right of the linked page then you will see the options to contact a live agent, you may have to answer the chat bots questions before it allows you to connect to an agent, this is so you are connected to the right department)
