“Sign In With Apple†on eBay App Prevents Vault Access
When you purchase a graded collectible on eBay in the PSA vault, and you do not currently have a vault linked to your account, it will create one for you from your current eBay email.
The problem is if you use “Sign in with Apple†login for the eBay app, which creates a private relay address, the PSA account is created in this email, and this locks your purchase behind an account you literally cannot access.
Private relay works by only allowing emails from approved domains. Because eBay has not worked with PSA to allow them to send emails to private relay users, we cannot get the registration email, and unable to access purchases. This is not an “apple issueâ€, their platform fully supports this, it just seems there is no currently no implementation on the eBay app.
Currently, the only solution to this is to contact PSA to have them change the email on the account for you. This requires sending copies of your ids among other things, and currently they have over a 20 business day turnaround time due to the market booming.
eBay is providing a very poor experience for first time buyers and delaying customers from getting their hands on orders
PSA is having to manually verify IDs, and have customer service manually merge or change the “bad accountâ€.
Both companies must be spending time on the phones dealing with customer frustration about this.
A few weeks of one time developer work would allow customers true ownership of their purchases quicker, save eBay/PSA on CS costs, and provide a seamless experience to users.

Am I missing an obvious solution? I find plenty of others in this same scenario with a simple google search, are we just misinformed?
Does eBay just not think it’s an issue on their side ? PSA is their partner, I didn’t expect to have to wait well over a month to even have something in a vault I can access.
