“Service on Label didn’t match service usedâ€
I received an email stating that I owe $$ because my label didn’t match service used. Why is that? I chose Ground Advantage. I went back to look at the details of the label and everything matched (label said Ground adv.) I’m so confused. It’s happened a few times and I figured it was just my mistake. But I don’t want it to keep happening.
Any advice for this semi newbie 😀
Thanks!

Mentor2 years agoYou cannot use priority boxes, wrap them, and choose ground. The use of those packages is for priority flat rate postage only. They will charge you.

If the label says Ground Advantage, be sure you do not use the free Priority Mail supplies to ship your item. The Red and White boxes, envelopes and mailers are for Priority Mail.
Also, since I can't see what your message said, were the dimensions and weight correct?
Always measure and weigh each package and enter those figures when you list your item and confirm them, before you print your label.

OP2 years agoThank you for replying. I double check always, especially weight and size of box. Plus my boxes are always wrapped so if I use the post office boxes it’s not visible.
Trying to cross my T’s and dot the I’s 😅
Thanks again, I appreciate the help!

1) USPS does not want wrapped boxes - they get caught in the machinery
2) USPS knows the size of their boxes. As @evry1nositswindy said, you can't use they boxes, even wrapped.
Buy some boxes on eBay or source some locally and you won't get those upcharges anymore.
