“Counterfeit Item†removed that is absolutely NOT counterfeit
Okay, this is a first:
I got a notice (which I did not believe the email, but then it came in an account message, so so guess it’s legit) that two items I am selling were removed as “counterfeit.â€
They are officially licensed NFL products and one I purchased DIRECTLY FROM AN NFL TEAM’S GIFT SHOP.
Just so happens that one was “sold†last week but the seller never paid so I cancelled it. Did the “buyer†report it out of spite and eBay just went along with it?
I can’t reply to the message or email (thanks, eBay), so how do I get to someone to explain this? “Contact Us†has categories, but this is not one.

Did either of these listings have ‘replica’ in the listing?
That may have caught the attention of the bots that are looking.

OP3 years agoYes, which differentiates them from "game-worn." Everything the NFL sells to consumers that isn't authentically the same as what the players wear is a replica. (Note, I have/had several replica jerseys for sale - as have tons of others without problem.)
What's weird is one of the supposed removed auctions is still listed as active, and neither of the item numbers listed in the email or the message in the eBay app match the item numbers of those items.
I did find a way to get a message to eBay on this and we'll see. Very strange. If it's just as simple as - suddenly, for some reason - the term "replica" causes problems with things that are - hello - officially licensed NFL product, then that's good information.
