getting developer access
I'm trying to get access to the developer APIs, but no matter what email address or information I provide I'm constantly getting the following:
Your account registration was rejected due to problems with the data provided or other irregularities. If you believe this rejection is in error, please see our FAQs and Contact Channels page or work with your eBay representative directly.
I have no idea what to do next. I was sent to post here from the eBay social media customer service rep... any help is greatly appreciated

The error “Your account registration was rejected due to problems with the data provided or other irregularities” appears because your developer account registration was rejected.
To address this, please submit a “Contact Us” request here and select “My account registration was rejected”: https://developer.ebay.com/support/developer-account-support

·7 months agoThis is all they ever tell you. I got the same response. But they don't actually tell you what's wrong.

·7 months agoWhoa. Oddly, this worked. I entered my registration user name, brief reason for why I wanted access to the API, and my registration was instantly approved. Thanks.
I did not have to change any account info (i.e. was able to continue to use my "@gmail.com" email address).

·7 months agoIf you do not mind sharing, what use case reason was provided?
We plan to use this for our own business. if we need to provide detailed information about how we will be using the data, including specifics regarding data handling and security measures or a general overview is sufficient.

·9 months agoFinally got the answer for anyone searching for this. You can not use any public email addresses, i.e. yahoo, gmail, etc... must be a company domain.

·7 months agoWhere did you get that answer? It sounds feasible, but it might be helpful to discover how you reached that conclusion -- did you fail with a gmail account then later succeed with a personal domain? Thanks in advance! (having the same rejections using my gmail, but thought that I should use it since that's the email on my ebay account).
