I'm not really sure what type of stone this is, google/chatgpt is not being too helpful
Sorry if this type of post is too common or it does not belong here but I have no idea where else I would ask about this.
Does anyone have any idea as to what kind of stone this is? It is the cloudy type of translucent, you can see objects through it but blurred to the point where it cannot be recognized. I think you will be able to tell from the photos.
I am also just guessing that it is Tibetan but could be wrong as there is nothing about it that would immediately tell me that it is not Chinese.

·2 years agoI came up with amber, moss agate or jade..
Would need to have a hardness test and see it first hand.. I think amber can be tested with a red hot needle..been a minute sine iv practiced.

OP2 years agoHmm I was kind of at a loss. Just decided to list it as "Amber colored agate" for now, but might ask on the jewelry section like the other person suggested.
The thing is none of these things are similar to my item when googled, but then again my item does not have a gloss finish or anything like that so it's a bit difficult.
