Help in identifying the name, date and price of this antique
This antique belonged to my grandfather, who told me before his death that it had been with him since childhood. It was very heavy, 6 kilograms, and made of a very strong and solid stone. Offer this piece for $850. There are many who told me that it is worth much more than that, and some told me that you will not find anyone who will pay $850, so what do you think? I would love to hear it, especially since I am a new seller.

·2 years agoIt looks like a hand carved ancient stone pharoh head. If you don't get an answer here I would consult and expert because this could sell for a few hundred to thousands. Really need peice of history to have. I noticed you have sold one item before, you may want to find a few more items to sell as the feedback will help your item sell- build trust with a buyer who is going to spend a good amount of money on this piece. Side note antiques can take a while to sell, it will sell, just be patient whether you number is $5000.00 or $250.00, it is just waiting for the right buyer/collector and that could be a year from now. If you consult an expert and get a price, then just let it sit at that price, did you promote it by 2% at least. I am not sure how I feel about promoted listing but I promote everything at 2% and many items more. Good luck!

·2 years agoI am far from being an Egyptologist, but to me it looks like a tourist piece and not that old. You are in Egypt, so would think there would be someone that could authenticate it for you. If you can't get it authenticated, I would suggest selling as a decorative piece not antique.
If you are posting in the community section to try and get sales or promote your items, that is not allowed.
Got to wonder about you choosing New as condition? If your Grandfather owned it, it would not be new esp. given it supposed age.

·2 years agoIt would be list as used. As far as being an antique here is how you know, ask yourself this questions:
Was it given to your grandfather when he was younger from a relative or family friend? Very well could be 100 years old, making it an antique-again recommend you consult an expert in the field. If it he got it as a young boy new then it would be put listed as Vintage (depending how old he was when he passed and how long ago-if his age at death plus years since death equal 100 than again that is an antique. Antiques are anything over 100 years old, and most consider Vintage anything of 20 years old. If you find out it is Vintage then put Vintage in your title or VTG, as there is a great love for vintage items as well:) You can even add that in your title now with antique and just state in your description the story about your grandfather and that you are unsure at this time if it is vintage or an antique. For sure change your listing to used-those searching antiques and vintage items will put that in their search.
