Final value fees charged on shipping and sales tax, ebay greed
I assume everyone knows that ebay charges final value fees on both shipping and sales tac. Example I sold a heavy item that was shipped for 34.00 and sales tax on the item was 25.00. That is an additional 55.00 that they charge you 12.38 percent. Why should sellers pay their fees on shipping and sales tax. Answer, ebay greed. I'm done.

·2 years agoEbay began charging FVF on shipping in 2011. Before that, there were more and more sellers who were listing items as $0.99 BINs with $100 shipping to avoid paying fees. It got so bad that eBay could no longer police it, so they just started charging fees on shipping too. I'll admit to being a bit bumfuzzled that it's taken you 12+ years to notice it.

Nothing to do with greed, all payment processors base their fees on the total amount the buyer pays.
Hard to believe you've sold 23,000 items and you're just now finding out?

It's NOT greed.
It's simply HOW they charge and that amount is CLEARLY shown BEFORE you list an item.

Like ordering a Steak/Lobster at a restaurant without looking at the menu and then complaining that the bill is $350.Â
