Introducing Ron Jaiven: eBay’s new US General Manager
Hello sellers,
Thank you to everyone who joined last week’s Winter Seller Check-In. It was great to see and hear from our eBay community. If you couldn’t join, you can watch the full session on YouTube. Below is a brief introduction to me and the areas where I’ll be focused.
I’m Ron Jaiven, the new General Manager for eBay North America. I have the great privilege of continuing the great momentum of Dawn Block, who led this seller community for the past 18 months.
I joined eBay in 2013 and have worked in many roles across eBay. Most recently, I was the General Manager of our US Collectibles category, where I launched new enthusiast experiences such as Grading Add-On services for trading cards. Prior to that, I served as General Manager for our US Parts & Accessories category (P&A) where I helped release our Guaranteed Fit program and launch several marketing campaigns. And previously, I led our US Vehicles category, where I relaunched our eBay Motors mobile app.
I also had roles in our eBay Classifieds Group, served as Chief of Staff to the eBay CEO, and worked in our Corporate Strategy department. And now I’m now excited to bring these experiences to help support our sellers across eBay.
Sellers will remain central to my work in this new role. You are entrepreneurial, committed to your businesses and to the eBay community, and you use this marketplace to create economic opportunity for yourselves and others. I have deep respect for that.
My first priority is to support growth for the eBay community. Strong sellers lead to strong buyer demand and a healthy platform. I look forward to a steady, practical partnership—listening carefully, learning from your expertise, and acting on what matters most. Your voice will continue to guide our decisions, and your feedback will inform how we evolve the eBay platform in 2026 and beyond. It’s an exciting time at eBay, we just celebrated 30 years as a company and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead.
