Canada Post Strike Update
Update 11/25/25:
Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) have announced that they have reached agreements-in-principle for a new collective bargaining agreement.
While the final contractual language and the ratifying vote are not yet complete, this does mean that, moving forward, CUPW has ceased all strike actions and Canada Post operations are expected to continue as normal.
Direct shipping to Canada via USPS, eBay International Standard Delivery, and eBay International Shipping remains available through eBay Labels, and delivery estimates continue to be accurate.
We will continue to keep our Community informed with any updates.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay.

Update 10/30/25:
As of October 15, 2025, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has commenced rotating strikes across Canada. These rotating strikes mean that only limited areas of the country will be impacted at any given time.
We have been tracking delivery performance in Canada and, in response, have re-enabled direct shipping through USPS and eBay International Standard Delivery services on eBay Labels.
eBay International Shipping continues to operate to Canada without interruptions or delays at this time.
To help manage buyer expectations, we will continue to automatically adjust estimated delivery dates across all services if they are affected by delays.
We’re actively following developments regarding the strike and will continue to keep our Community informed.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay.

09/26/25
On September 25th, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced a nationwide strike impacting all Canada Post services, including domestic, inbound and outbound international shipments. Anything currently in the Canada Post network is likely to be impacted.
If you are a seller based in the US and use eBay International Shipping, you are automatically protected from late or no delivery claims and your seller performance standards and service metrics won’t be affected by international shipping. Any negative or neutral feedback from handling during international transit will be removed from your account.
And, thanks to eBay International Shipping’s flexibility with multiple global carriers, we’re using alternate delivery providers in Canada and expect only minimal impact to deliveries at this time.
Direct shipping to Canada using USPS or eBay International Standard Delivery (eISD) has been temporarily disabled on eBay Labels. If you have already shipped to Canada, you are protected from late delivery claims as long as you meet your stated handling times. Be sure to upload valid tracking in order to benefit from enhanced protections to sellers.
We are continuing to monitor the situation and will adjust estimated delivery dates for Canadian buyers as needed. You can also monitor for updates on the eBay Community or directly on the Canada Post website.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay.
