The eBay Shipping team is committed to helping you through the busy holiday season. Our first update: FedEx®, and UPS® will be adding temporary shipping cost increases during the peak period. We’ll continue to share updates to keep you informed, and you can find full details anytime on each carrier’s site.
FedEx
FedEx announced peak season rates from September 28, 2026 through January 17, 2027.
The FedEx Demand Surcharge is waived for the following services on eBay Labels through January 17, 2027: FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery® residential shipments, FedEx Ground Economy, FedEx 2Day®, FedEx Standard Overnight® and FedEx Priority Overnight®.
FedEx 2Day One Rate® surcharges begin on October 26, 2026 and will remain in effect through January 17, 2027. Per-package rate increases range from $0.81 to $1.40 depending on package size.
Peak-season Additional Handling and Oversize surcharges are added to FedEx’s standard surcharges. FedEx offers discounted Additional Handling rates for both standard and peak-season shipments using eBay Labels.
UPS
UPS announced peak season rates from September 27, 2026 through January 16, 2027.
A Demand Surcharge will apply to all UPS Ground, UPS Ground Saver®, and UPS Air packages on eBay Labels:
An additional Demand Surcharge will apply to packages that require Additional Handling, Large Packages and Over Maximum Limits for all domestic shipments on eBay Labels.
