Yeah just ignore that innocent people are being intentionally killed and the living are having their freedom taken away. This is not a political issue , it's a humanitarian issue. He's right , ebay should put a stop to it.

eBay has a legal department and a government relations department. Let them deal with this issue please. Leave politics off the board.

Yes sir. Hitler number two is harming his own people in the process of his manic, psychopathic war.

Yep. One psychopath does not make his country a people of the same mind as he.

I agree. All buying from Russia and all Russian eBay accounts should be suspended. Putin will continue to be a threat unless there is worldwide pressure against Russian aggression. The Russian people need to experience the resolve of all free people against such despicable aggression. That experience may allow them to see how free people view the actions of their government and move them to make changes to achieve peace. When we stand by and do nothing, we are all complicit.

Political post should never be suspended from ebay. Everything is political including ebay. Come on man! Free country FREE SPEECH regardless of what forum you are on. Speak up against Putins War.

They are being suspended. Don't ship to Russia or the Ukraine.

Thank you Staff.
Due to the troubling events in Ukraine, most major US carriers have suspended delivery services to Ukraine and expect increased shipping times to Russia. As a result, we are taking the following actions:
There are currently limited shipping options for sellers to fulfill sales to Ukraine and Russia, and buyers in Ukraine and Russia may be unable to purchase items on eBay until stable shipping services resume.
As a seller, if you currently have items in transit to Ukraine or Russia, note that these packages may not reach the buyer and may be scheduled for a return to you. Please regularly check your tracking on these orders for the most up to date information. If your business is impacted, eBay will automatically protect your seller performance, including:
These seller protections will apply retroactively to all shipments to Ukraine and Russia beginning February 21.
eBay will continue working closely with shipping carriers and government partners to protect buyers and sellers around the world and ensure continued compliance with all applicable sanctions and regulations.
Our thoughts are with those impacted by the situation in Ukraine.

Great story but can you not think of some ways that selling costume jewelry on ebay is different from selling whatever you mean by 'service parts' via whatever 3rd party you're talking about?

If ebay suspends Russian buyer accounts then we won't have to refuse to ship there; they simply won't be able to buy from us. But the announcement (which I could be misunderstanding) appears to be only about the GSP. Most of my Russian buyers don't get their packages shipped through the GSP; they have transshippers (AKA freight forwarders) in New Jersey and Delaware that they use, so those are the addresses that come up when I go to ship the items. If there is a way to block buyers based on where they actually live, so they couldn't even use transshippers, I am unaware of it.

Today France seized a Russian Cargo ship in the English Channel. It will only get worse. Shipping liners are not booking for Russia. Many Western companies including shippers are limiting or suspending dealings with Russia and the number of them announcing this is compounding almost hourly on social media. They are even pulling Russian Vodka off the shelves around here. Politics aside anyone shipping merchandise to or from Russia right now is just asking for a PIA to deal with due to geopolitical uncertainty. You risk it being seized, delayed by months, or returned. And of course anything to or from Ukraine. Forget it.

A country that bombs a peaceful neighbor does not deserve to sit at the table with humans.

Total Sanction of Russia necessary

Yeah, I will never have hate against Russian people. A large portion of them hate their government, and Putin. I know this is a time to come together in our hate of Russia, but it's really just 1% of the population that we should hate.
