It will be interesting to see how far this goes.

Sounds like some movie script but, of course, it only happens to others - not that it couldn't happen in real life.

And one of the stalkers was a former police captain...thats alarming.

After public service, there is always the private sector.

True enough..alarming that he thought he could get away with it..what was he, and the others, thinking?

Why does the old excuse, 'I was only following orders', come to mind.

I posted this on the other thread, but here are eBay's official announcements-

I think that some won't want a public court case.

Hmmm,
Check out the end of the article.
"Part of the investigation included what role former eBay CEO Devin Wenig may have had in the incident.
“The internal investigation found that, while Mr. Wenig’s communications were inappropriate, there was no evidence that he knew in advance about or authorized the actions that were later directed toward the blogger and her husband. However, as the company previously announced, there were a number of considerations leading to his departure from the company,” eBay said."
The scary part for a lot of people here is that not even secondary posting accounts can save you here.

This is why I will NEVER, EVER trust anything or anyone on the internet. I would like to say I'm surprised, but I'm not. I imagine that kind of thing happens all the time and gets swept under the rug.
The internet is man's greatest invention and also his worst.

Six former eBay employees are accused of participating in an "aggressive cyberstalking campaign" against a Natick couple.
US Attorney Andrew E. Lelling said the victims are the editor and publisher of an online newsletter that covers e-commerce companies, including eBay.
Lelling alleges that after the newspaper published content critical of eBay, the victims were sent several disturbing items, including a bloody pig mask and a funeral wreath.
“These deliveries included fly larvae and live spiders, a box of live cockroaches, a sympathy wreath on the occasion of the death of a loved one, a book of advice on how to survive the death of a spouse....Several of the defendants allegedly drove to the victims’ home several times, with Harville and Baugh intending at one point to break into the victims’ garage and install a GPS tracking device on their car....
That's not just cyberstalking, that's actual stalking and harassment, possibly worse.
