We always ship large items through Fed Ex. We have them package with insta pack using their own box's and them shipping (of course!) And insuring the item. Item was always capped by what the buyer paid for the item. Along with Adult signature. Today we shipped a Sansui 9090db at 108.00 With Direct Signature. When it came to Insurance (Fed EX Declared Value.) It was capped at 1000.00. The Stereo Receiver had a value of almost 3000.00!! Fed Ex always had that layer of protection that we depended on. As a Seller We need protection on what we sell through shipping. I stand to gain a loss of 2000.00 if the Stereo gets damaged By Fed Ex and their handling of this item!!! Even with all the safeguards being put in place by us through Fed Ex (No Guarantee that they will pay anything!!!)
We need help and some type of insurance at a reasonable cost through eBay or have eBay require USPS, UPS and Fed Ex to provide Insurance for packages shipped through eBay at a reasonable cost!!
