A Travesty

I was looking through some older cards and found some Edgar Martinez rookies, the best DH of all time and now, a HOF'ER.  Checked on Ebay to see what they were selling for and found out, just like it has been for the last 30 years or so, cards were selling between a $1 and $3 depending on which card you have. Twenty Jo Adell 2017 bowman chrome cards sold for over $100, a player who hasn't have a cup of coffee in the majors, but his cards sell for at least $4 each. This is the reason I stopped collecting in the '90's. I still buy and sell, but no collecting. Very sad.

A Travesty

The market these days is driven by prospect cards and everybody looking for the next Mike Trout. I don't collect Overhyped prospects, but I do My share of trying to find bargains of players that I think have a future as solid big leaguers. Edgars certified auto's sell pretty good and always will, but these days base rookies just don't sell.
