ebay shipping insurance lost item in mail

How do I start an insurance claim when using Ebay shipping labels and insurance was purchased in addition to the cost of postage. Package was shipped from Ct. to California about 2 weeks ago. USPS said they started an investigation.

Was the insurance with USPS?  If so, need to go to that site and file a claim there.  Have to wait a certain amt of time before you can file........which I think is more than 2 wks.......

Hi @greatgramps . If you purchased USPS insurance, file a claim with USPS here:

You'll need a screenshot of the full eBay Order Details page for proof of value. If it's been "about 2 weeks" then you may not have met USPS filing period yet. I believe you have to wait 15 days for Ground Advantage or Priority.
