I relisted an item on my phone last week which seems to be the problem. I got two emails, that it was auto relisted and accepting best offers. At least there was an auto decline at half my starting price, which was an additional stroke of luck! 
If there were any default boxes to uncheck, I missed them. Happy it was only the one listing, and it was simple to to undo from a drop down box.
